1) Reporting date/venue/schedule: 6 Dec Sat @ Woodlands CC Badminton Hall
MENS SINGLE - 9.45AM
MIXED DOUBLES - 10.15AM
MENS DOUBLES - 11.00AM (MD, pls note reporting time has been shifted to morning 11am instead of 1pm.)
We seek your kind understanding to report punctually for all matches.
Simple refreshments will be prepared for all players & volunteers during lunch hours.
2) Knockout/Scoring system:
Knockout rounds (9.45am to 1.30pm) - Single knockout system, rally point (new "21" system) up to 15 points only, best of 3 sets max.
MS - Before start of game, all MS players to draw lots to reassign ID & decide who gets walkover. 3 teams to emerge to finals
XD- Before start of game, all XD teams to draw lots to reassign team ID. 2 teams to play for 3rd/4th placing. Winning 2 teams to emerge to finals
MD- 3 teams to emerge to finals
Finals (1.30pm to 6pm):
MS & MD- Round robin, rally point up to 21 points, best of 3 sets. In event that there is a draw in number of matches won, winner will be decided by the total points accumulated.
XD - Rally point up to 21 points, best of 3 sets. Champion, 1st Runner Up & 2nd Runner Up to emerge
Note: Hard copy of line-up will only be released on actual day.
3) Team names:
Some of your team names have been revised to avoid confusion. Pls see attached "Namelist" in the email sent to you for details. If any objections or other proposals, kindly email avidshuttlers@hotmail.com by 3 Dec Wed 2pm.

MD FINALS
Dear MD teams,
Thank you for the resounding support on 22/11 Sun!
MD FINALS's fixtures & scoring/knock-out format will be released by this Friday (28/11). Pls give us a few days' grace for planning. Reporting date/time will most likely be 6 Dec Sat 1pm for all MD teams.
In the meantime, MS & XD teams whom have not responded to email, kindly do so to acknowledge awareness of your team's report timing & group!

Scoring system
Responding to a number of queries, here's how the scoring system works for all categories...
Prelims-
Prelims-
- New rally system ("21").
- One set per match.
- Each match to play up to 30 points only (swop court at 15th point).
- Winner of 30th point wins the match (no deuce).
- Eventually, each Group will have a winner to reach Finals.
- If time does not permit, final two teams from each group will play on another day (likely 30/11 Sun morning) to qualify into Finals.
- Rationale behind this slight "modification" is to ensure the continuity of the double-knockout format.
- In fact, teams will mostly likely get to play more than twice within the 4 hours in order to emerge the winner of the group.
Finals-
- New rally system and full sets (up to 3 games) per match
